Q&A

How Are Students Selected?

We work directly with student advocates to determine needs. Primarily our operation is run through our local middle and high schools. Teachers, counselors, administrators, etc. select the students they see in need. We also work with other organizations such as DCFS, foster family advocates, CASA volunteers, and other nonprofits to ensure student needs are met.

How Do You Protect Students Privacy?

Students are criticized daily for situations out of their control. We hope to help eliminate peer exclusion, not contribute to it. Therefore, being discreet in our services is very important to us. We park in low traffic areas, allow one student to shop at a time, and do everything we can to keep the students privacy priority.

Why Grades 6th-12th?

Typically elementary age children are not critical of clothing style and brands. Our Mission is to empower the under privileged youth of our communities by providing confidence, character, and peer inclusion.

Do You Accept Gently Used Items?

Although we are certain children in need are appreciative of ALL donations. We want to use this opportunity to allow them to select NEW clothing in lieu of the hand me downs they are typically given. However, be sure to reach out to your local schools! Majority of them have a clothing closet that could really use some love!
